Rudolph Day

PHEW !    Finally managed to find time to get my entries in for the final of Sarn's final Rudolph Day
Although I haven't managed to enter every month, I still have cards finished and ready to send  - thanks Sarn!

Whilst at our monthly playday last weekend, Liz presented us with our Sarndangle digi as our make and take.

I thoroughly enjoyed making these cards, even though there was colouring in to do (not my favourite past time!).
I also managed to get some bling into the cards too.

Hope you like them

I should also add that my friend purchased the Digi, and let us  play with a couple of images she'd printed off, so please respect Sarn's copyright.

Have a great weekend

Here are my two cards for the Rudolph Day which is run by my craft friend Sarn at Stamping for Pleasure

I shall also be nipping over to the Snippets Playground for some fun too being as though the cones are made from little scraps of kraft card I found!

Have a nice day everyone.

Kinda Eclectic - 21st birthday

Good morning
Wanted to share with you some 21st birthday cards that I made for my triplet nieces birthday recently.

I spent ages trying to think of doing something that looked quite modern without using the usual flowers and butterflies.  I came up with these using the Kinda Eclectic stamp which to me looks like a firework.  I stamped them in different colours and blinged them up with sparkling embossing powder.  I think they came out pretty well and I hope that the girls were pleased with them.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope to be back soon.

Eileen's Class

Good morning,
Yay it is Friday, the best day of the week!  Even though I have to work on Saturday morning this week, I'm still glad it's Friday.

Last Saturday I attended Eileen Goodwin's class in Rochester with three of my crafty friends.  What a fabulous time we had.

We used the brilliant brusho paints and clingfilm technique. I LOVED the way this turned out, all I could see in the pattern was the tree trunk with the light shining through, perfect place for the fairy to be hanging out!
Eileen showed us how to paint using the brusho's and create a shadow around our image

This card was using just a sprinkling of lemon and black brusho paint with a wee spray of water.  We were then supposed to stamp an image over the paint but once again all I could see was a tree!  I couldn't go beyond that.  I just loved the tree and didn't want to spoil it, so I just mounted on black card and left!!!
This class was so very inspirational and has given me the confidence to play some more with my brusho's.

Thanks for stopping by today

Kindness

Good morning
Hope you are enjoying your day.

Today's card was a bit different to what I usually make, lots of fussy cutting which I am not too keen on!  I did like the result though.   Stampin'Up! do so many different types of flowers.

Dotty Stencil

Morning all
Well the sun is shining this morning and I am hoping to get outside for some little R&R.  We really don't know how much longer we will be blessed with the sun this year eh?

On today's card I thought I would have a go at using the new Honey coloured ink pad and dotty stencil from Stampin'Up!   I was quite pleased with the result.   Can you see that the dots are all slightly different in colour, not sure what happened but I can assure you that I used the same ink pad for all the inking!
I also managed to get to incorporate the lovely Blackberry Bliss cardstock again.  L O V E that colour!

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day

Flower Fair

Good morning
I hope you are having a good day so far?
Today's card is very a simple card using the absolutely gorgeous Blackberry Bliss coloured card stock by Stampin'Up!.  I think you will agree that  this lovely rich colour just screams out to be used on white!

Scalloped Tag

Good morning
I hope you are having a good day.

Today's project is a very simple tag using the "sponging of inks all over the card technique".  I then stamped the flower with gold embossing powder then coloured it in.  Then added a little butterfly.  I was thrilled with the end result.  I must add this is a bit out of my comfort zone!

Vibrant Pink!

Good morning, hope you all ok and enjoying your day.

Vibrant pink this certainly is!

I love this card so there is no  way that I will ever be sending it out to anyone!

I tried out the sponging technique again on this one and I even used gold buff it on the chequered stencil.  The flower was gold embossed on velum and shaped.
Absolutely loved this card and like I say, it won't be sent out to anyone!

MIL Birtday Card

Good morning,
Today I am sharing my MIL's birthday card.  Very simple and very quick to make.  I needed to do it quick because to be honest I had forgotten the date and had to make this in a real hurry.
Very minimal I know but I think very elegant.

Swaps for May Play day

Better late than never!   I cannot believe that I have had these ready to share with you since the end of May and here we are in September!
These tags were made using Speciality DSP (has now retired).  This DSP was wonderful for making tags and boxes because it was so thick.  I also loved the clear embossed patterns on it.
I sponged the edges using Chocolate Chip ink giving them a distressed look.
It was then decorated using the Flower Shop stamps and Little Leaves embosslit (also sadly now retired).  Of course there was the customary bling added.

Close up of the bling!

May play day M&T

Morning all
Well no excuses!  I am very slack and totally disorganised (which I am trying to rectify!)
This card, I am ashamed to say, was made and used as the Make & Take for the May playday!!

I waited ages for this lovely punch and stamp set  (Petite Petals) to come back into stock.  I loved making the dimensional flowers and I was very happy with the result.
I think my playmates enjoyed making this card on the day.

Anyway, thank you for stopping by today

Happy Post to Liz "Friends"

Good morning,
Once again this one has been sitting in my photo folder waiting to go on my blog!  I have GOT to start making time to do the blog.  How many of you know the feeling?!

This was my happy post to Liz in May!, I hope she liked it.  I love the colours on this one and I especially love the flower.   I did notice that the "friends" were a bit lop sided, should have got the stamp a ma jig out shouldn't I ?   Oh well I hope Liz didn't notice it.

Thank you for stopping by today

Happy Post for Sarn

Hi
Well it has stopped raining and the sun is actually trying to come out.
I got up early this morning, typical really, I always say when I'm at work that I can't wait for a lie in on Saturday morning when in fact I always wake up earlier and am ready to get up!  What is that all about?

Anyway, because I was up early I managed to get the polishing, washing up, washing, sweeping and general cleaning done by 10am so was able to come into my craft room and start playing.

Before I start to get all inky and messy I thought I would show you the first card I made using the Brusho paints, Ryn stamps & Inkylicious stamps.  I was really pleased with the result and decided to use this card as my Happy Post to my friend Sarn from  Stamping for Pleasure

Hope she liked xx

Unfortunately the photo doesn't show that the rain drops are filled with Glossy Accents to make them look realistic.   Really pleased with this -  can you tell?!

Hope you all have a really lovely weekend
Tomorrow I am off to see my daughter and my lovely grandchildren as it is my youngest grandson Henry's birthday, really looking forward to that, so I had better get off here and enjoy my time in my craft room xxx

Twas the night.......

Hi
Having spent a lovely relaxing afternoon with a friend, chatting about crafting and doing some other crafts, I felt really inspired to use my time wisely.

My friend asked me if I had participated in the Rudolph Challenge this month, which is run by  Sarn of Stamping for Pleasure,   I said that I hadn't and that I wasn't sure if I would find the time.... So on the drive home from her house I decided that I never have time for anything so therefore I was going to have to make time!   So this is what I came up with.

I made five instead of two and wrapped them up in a bow!  Hope you like!
All wrapped up ready to be gifted
Side view

I absolutely love the "Twas the Night" collection from Clarity Stamps.  Very cutesy and perfect for the grandchildren to give to their friends
Had to do a close up just to show you the compulsory bling!!

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope to catch up with you all again soon.

And what is as important as Knowledge ......

Good morning to you all, long time no see.........   Long story!

I am feeling very happy this morning having spent yesterday crafting with some lovely ladies.  Seeing them all sets me up for the week.  If only they knew how positive they make me feel ... well they will know now!!

A lot has been happening in my life which has meant that I have not had much time in my craftroom, however I have tried to grab a bit of time every now and then to do some crafting.

The card shared today is a large 8" x 8" card, larger than I usually make!

I love the verse which came from Inkylicious I believe.  They do have some lovely verses.
The flowers were made using Stamps by Chloe on velum and gold embossed.  I then coloured them on the reverse side using Stampin'Up! Lost Lagoon and Tangelo Twist pens.

 Off to work now.

Thank you for stopping by.

Rudolph Challenge May 14

Wow, it is that time again already!!!

Here is my offering for the Rudolph Challenge this month.
What a fabulous idea this challenge is, which is run by Sarn at Stamping for Pleasure.
We have to make two cards each month to enter which is great because by Christmas we should have a good pile of cards ready to send.

My cards today are made using the lovely Forever Friends stamp set that I won last month in the challenge.

Hope you all enjoy the rest of the Bank Holiday weekend.

Eileens Class = Fab!

On Saturday I went along to a fabulous crafting class held by Eileen Goodwin with my friend Sarn.

Sarn is the fab designer of the "Sarntangles" (second card shown here) and can be purchased digitally from her blog Stamping For Pleasure
I was very apprehensive yet excited to attend this class because I knew that it would be way out of my comfort zone.  I usually like to make quite simple cards with bling and I knew that Eileen would be making us get very inky with hardly any bling!
Well, I will be honest with you, I absolutely loved getting inky fingers and trying lots of different techniques that I never thought I was interested in!!  Just shows you doesn't it.
These are the four cards that we made.   Although I was very pleased, I definitely need a lot more practice!

My favourite one!
I would recommend Eileen's classes to everyone!  Eileen is not only very talented, she is a very funny and  very welcoming, warm person.  Would also like to mention Shelia ( I hope that was the lady's name!)  who provided us with constant coffee & tea and to Barbara who makes a fantastic Coffee & Walnut cake, who helped to make it a perfect day crafting !!

Sorry Eileen, but I will be back!

Thank you for stopping by today.

Christines Class no. 4

Card number 4 was also stunning.  Once again the photography wasn't brilliant and didn't pick up the lovely shiny gilding flakes used on the acetate flower.   The flower was actually a peel off  attached to a piece of acetate and cut out - yes that shocked me too!   We then added the flitter glue to the back of the flower and placed the gorgeous gilding flakes by Indigoblu.

We also made another card but I have yet to complete it.  Will post just as soon as I do.

Love these classes and would recommend Christine to anyone who lives or can travel to Maidstone in Kent.  Her classes are fab!  If you want her details, please feel free to drop me an email on twinksstamping@live.com.

Thank you so much for stopping by today

Christines class no. 3

This was my favourite one of the day.  The velum flowers are gorgeous and so easy to make with such a dramatic effect.  Will definitely be casing this card (with my own take on it of course).  My photography really doesnt do it justice.  We used a lot of different techniques on this one, heat embossing, distressing, stencilling and stamping.  Love it.

Thank you once again for stopping by today
