Peeping Owl

Hi
I love to craft and although I love to make cards, I get much greater pleasure from doing 3d craft, especially if they are pressies!
Today I thought I would share a little project that I did last week that was going to be a prototype as a gift.
Hope you like.

The box which contains the little gift. I used some of the new DSP Sweet Sorbet which is coming out soon in the upcoming promotion, Sale-A-Bration where you can get lots of free goodies.  Details soon.....

The following two pics are of the lid having been moved.  The reason for two pics is so that you can see the lovely sponge coloured card attached to the front of the box.  I loved the effect sponging three colours of SU inks, Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding and Soft Sky and then glittering them up!

Here's the little gift inside. Can you see the peeping owl!  Oh I loved putting this one together. As you can see a polystyrene flat backed ring has been covered in the gorgeous burlap ribbon and secured with pins at the back.

I then set about decorating it using my favourite bigz flower die and little leaves embosslit then using lots of glittery bling to finish it off

Here's just a couple of pics to show him off!

Thank you for taking the time to stop by today.  Please feel free to comment!
Take care

Anniversary card

Hi
I wanted to share with you our 30th Wedding Anniversary card from our 9 year old granddaughter yesterday.

I was gobsmacked that she designed and put this together all by herself.

The words inside read " To nanny & grandad"
Congratulations, you both are kind and joyful and you do everything to make me happy"
I cried!
Didn't she do well!  I may well let her into my craft room and let her loose on my SU products.....mmmm not sure I'm quite ready to share just yet!!

Enjoy your evening
Take care

Christines Craft Class - Christmas No. 6

Today I am sharing the final card from the 6 cards designed by Christine Dyer and made by myself at Christines's class.

Enjoyed this one (except for the random background we had to create!).  The die cut baubles from Stampin Up looked gorgeous stamped in silver embossing powder on navy blue card.  Had a really stunning effect, which unfortunately has not really been picked up with my camera work!

Really nice card.

Am glad to report that, weather permitting, I am off to another of Christine's classes in early February so will have another five cards to show off to you!
I am also hoping to produce some of my own to show off too (time permitting!).

Thank you for stopping by

Christines Craft Class - Christmas No. 5

Today I am sharing Card no. 5 of 6 designed by Christine Dyer and made by myself at Christines's class.

I must admit that when Christine showed us this one I let out a little groan because I really do not like doing random!  Not only was the inking random but so too were the stars!

The coloured "strip" across the centre isn't a bit of paper, we taped off the white card leaving just a strip in the middle clear.  We then got the inks out and blobbed on the ink!  I believe we then spritzed with a little water.  Once dried we stamped and embossed the stars and sentiment using glittery embossing powder.  Rhinestones were the last thing to be added.

Lovely effect.

Thank you for stopping by.

Christines Craft Class Christmas No. 4

As promised, albeit a bit late, Card no. 4 of 6 designed by Christine Dyer and made by myself at Christine's class.

This one wasn't a card but a decoration.  Unfortunately my camera work doesn't show it off very well!

We covered a circle die cut in leaves made from a punch using three different coloured green card to create the wreath.  The poinsettias then added together with the ribbon.

The acetate was sandwiched between the two circle die cuts prior to adding the leaves.

Finally the sentiment was added.  Voila!  Such a lovely bright and colourful decoration.  Everyone who knows me knows that this is my favourite thing to do, 3d crafting, not just cards.

Card no. 5 tomorrow!  Promise!

Thank you for stopping by
