Christines Craft Class Christmas No. 3

Today I am sharing Card no. 3 of 6 designed by Christine Dyer and made by myself at Christines's class.

Such a beautiful card.  A large 8" x 8" card that looks very stylish & very classy.
I haven't had much luck in the past with heat embossing but this one turned out just right.   The shading on the scene was something else that I hadn't had much experience with before and I was pretty impressed by the result.

Hope you like as much as I do!

Christine's Class Christmas No. 2

Today I am sharing Card no. 2 of 6 designed by Christine Dyer and made by myself at Christines's class.

This is such a classy card, loved the die cut sentiment.  Loved the tartan ribbon, it always reminds me so much of an old fashioned christmas.

To add dimension to the card, the poinsettia was layered and then we added some berries to finish it off.

Card no. 3 coming soon!

Lovely card.

Back at last!!!!! Christines Class cards

Hi everyone
I have been away from my blog for such a long time but hopefully I am well and truly back again now!

Every month I book myself into a class which is run by a very very talented lady called Christine Dyer.  Her cards are just exquisite!

Each month I will post the makes and takes that we have completed during our craft class.

Today I will post just one of six (five from most recent class but the first one was from the previous class that I couldn't attend but had the pack sent to me instead and only managed to complete one of the five! ).

All of the cards are Christmas cards and each and every item made I am hoping to replicate in some way because, like I say, they are just exquisite!

So...... 1 of 6

I believe that the original design for this card was by Chloes Creative Cards.  Isn't it just fantastic?  An 8" x 8" card which was just such a pleasure to make.  It sparkles, it is dimensional, it is bright and beautiful and very different from the usual Christmas cards around.  The Gingerbread men were cut out individually from the paper and a glue dot added so that they would stand out of the card.  Each little man was also glittered, of course!

Such a novel card!

Christine holds classes all the time so if you would be interested in attending one or details of the classes, just drop me an email.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you pop back soon to see No. 2 of 6.

Take care

A Sledging we will go

A Sledging we will go!

Must confess to having done this card quite a while ago.  I was busy having a look at some of the cards that I started out making and came across this one.   Although I don't use most of the products in this card nowdays, I absolutely love the stamp set from Penny Black.

Noah's Ark

Hi
Remember last week I posted a card that I had made for my niece? Well I also gave her a gift for her nursery (her daughter is due in May).
A friend of mine (Carol) is very much into quilling, a part of crafting that I really don't have the patience to master!
I have taken pictures of the wrapped parcel, the bag and tag that I had made to put the gift into and of course the lovely Noah's Ark made by Carol.  What do you think? Isn't it just gorgeous?

Did you notice the little birdie with a piece of straw in his mouth on the top of the Ark?

Such a delicate parcel to wrap!

Love decorating the plain white bags and making them look special.  I used my favourite Stampin'Up! stamp set, Flourishing Flowers and the Primrose Petal ink.

Enjoy the rest of your week.

Take care

Jo's Birthday Card

Hi

Good afternoon.  Boy am I glad that it is Saturday, mind you still have "jobs" to do today (woman's work is never done and all that!!).  Still I can do things at my leisure today.
Have managed to get all the washing done and pottered around as one does picking things up off the floor, sweeping, washing up etc and am now just having a breather and my lunch.

I plan on visiting my sister today whom I like to meet up with on a Saturday evening so we can go for a game of bingo!!  Its also my niece's birthday this week so wanted to take a card up to her.

So here it is........

As you can see I am very much into pastels and subtles!!

Well, that's enough for today. Had better get off and finish my chores before I get myself ready for an evening of "me" time.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Rudolph Challenge Feb - 2013

Hi

Today I was introduced to the Rudolph Day challenge which is set by Sandra from Stamping for Pleasure  http://stampingforpleasure.blogspot.co.uk/

I decided to join so that I can keep in touch with Sandra and hopefully make some more crafty friends.

Hope you like my offering!  Had fun playing with the old toys again!

Its a real shame that you can't see the sparkles on the tree.  I really need to invest in a decent camera.

Oh well I can assure you that it really sparkles!

Felt strange doing a festive card in February.  I'm sure I will be used to it by December!

Enjoy your week

Take care
