Rudolph Challenge May 14

Wow, it is that time again already!!!

Here is my offering for the Rudolph Challenge this month.
What a fabulous idea this challenge is, which is run by Sarn at Stamping for Pleasure.
We have to make two cards each month to enter which is great because by Christmas we should have a good pile of cards ready to send.

My cards today are made using the lovely Forever Friends stamp set that I won last month in the challenge.

Hope you all enjoy the rest of the Bank Holiday weekend.

Take care

Eileens Class = Fab!

On Saturday I went along to a fabulous crafting class held by Eileen Goodwin with my friend Sarn.

Sarn is the fab designer of the "Sarntangles" (second card shown here) and can be purchased digitally from her blog Stamping For Pleasure
I was very apprehensive yet excited to attend this class because I knew that it would be way out of my comfort zone.  I usually like to make quite simple cards with bling and I knew that Eileen would be making us get very inky with hardly any bling!
Well, I will be honest with you, I absolutely loved getting inky fingers and trying lots of different techniques that I never thought I was interested in!!  Just shows you doesn't it.
These are the four cards that we made.   Although I was very pleased, I definitely need a lot more practice!

My favourite one!
I would recommend Eileen's classes to everyone!  Eileen is not only very talented, she is a very funny and  very welcoming, warm person.  Would also like to mention Shelia ( I hope that was the lady's name!)  who provided us with constant coffee & tea and to Barbara who makes a fantastic Coffee & Walnut cake, who helped to make it a perfect day crafting !!

Sorry Eileen, but I will be back!

Thank you for stopping by today.

Christines Class no. 4

Card number 4 was also stunning.  Once again the photography wasn't brilliant and didn't pick up the lovely shiny gilding flakes used on the acetate flower.   The flower was actually a peel off  attached to a piece of acetate and cut out - yes that shocked me too!   We then added the flitter glue to the back of the flower and placed the gorgeous gilding flakes by Indigoblu.

We also made another card but I have yet to complete it.  Will post just as soon as I do.

Love these classes and would recommend Christine to anyone who lives or can travel to Maidstone in Kent.  Her classes are fab!  If you want her details, please feel free to drop me an email on twinksstamping@live.com.

Thank you so much for stopping by today

Christines class no. 3

This was my favourite one of the day.  The velum flowers are gorgeous and so easy to make with such a dramatic effect.  Will definitely be casing this card (with my own take on it of course).  My photography really doesnt do it justice.  We used a lot of different techniques on this one, heat embossing, distressing, stencilling and stamping.  Love it.

Thank you once again for stopping by today

Christines Class no.2

Today's card is definitely a brilliant card for the men folk.  I think the bunting just finishes the card off perfectly.
